Overview & model years
The fourth generation grew in size and offered the first V8 4Runner (2UZ-FE, 2003–2009). Full-time 4WD with a Torsen center differential was standard on V8 and optional on V6; X-REAS cross-linked shocks were offered on Sport Edition.
