Overview & model years

The 2024 Tacoma moved to the global TNGA-F body-on-frame platform shared with Tundra, Sequoia, 4Runner (2025) and Land Cruiser (2024). Every engine is a 2.4 L turbo four; the i-FORCE MAX adds a motor-generator in the transmission. Rear suspension is coil springs on most Double Cab trims, leaf springs on the SR and XtraCab. The Trailhunter and TRD Pro lead the off-road range.
